Salman in no mood to compromise

The effects of the Salman and Shah Rukh show down on Katrina Kaif’s birthday party last week has left the industry clearly divided. A close associate of Salman says that despite numerous attempts, Sallu refuses to even discuss things. He has said to have made it quite clear that people need to pick sides and pick them quick.

Salman Khan

“Many of us tried sorting things out with him the next day. We thought he would have cooled down and we would be able to explain things to him. But he is still very angry with the things SRK said. He has told all of us to either be with him or just stop talking to him,” says the source.

One of the members of Bollywood who is extremely close to both the Khans tried to act as the mediator only to be told off by Salman.

“I tried to make him see reason. Not for any other reason but the fact that both of them are great actors and were good friends. Close friends. We are a small group of people and this fight could oscillate into this big camp war if not handled clearly. But at this point I can’t make him see reason. And for all those who know Salman well enough know that it’s best to back off when he is in this mood,” he says.

So what’s next for Bollywood?

Currently the fraternity stands firmly divided over the infamous spat now. Currently those in Salman’s corner include Sajid Nadiadwala, Govinda, David Dhawan, Kareena Kapoor, Amrita Arora, Zayed and Fardeen Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, Akshaye Khanna amongst others. Shah Rukh on the other hand has the backing of Yash Chopra, Kunal Kohli, Javed Akhtar, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Kapoor and Farah Khan.

The big question now is will the two superstars make up or will this war firmly divide the industry into two.
