Vishal spills beans on Nayan!

After conducting the audio release of Sathyam a rather private and low-key affair, Vishal convened a press meet at the Residency towers today and answered a few posers hurled at him. He was sporting a Hancock style Will Smith cap and was flanked by director Rajasekhar and script writer Gunasekaran. “Harris was to join, however, he could not make it owing to the pressing commitments of Sathyam’s rerecording”, he offered.

He started off saying that he did not have plans to meet the press before the movie’s completion and mentioned that post-production work is being carried out in 14 places including Chennai and Hyderabad. “The movie will hit screens on August 14, come what may,” he declared.

“I had so far finished six movies. Sathyam is my seventh and I have put in efforts in this amounting to my earlier six movies,” he said, throwing light on the hard slog he endured for the movie.

When the inevitable questions about Nayantara was asked, Vishal queried back asking if it was really important to discuss his love life rather than focusing on other burning issues of the country such as the No Confidence motion against the Government and the rise in petrol prices. He also added that he had no idea who would spread such rumors. “I don’t have the habit of looking behind my back.”

Besides, he also said that it was not intentional to have intimate scenes with Nayan and that she was informed well in advance about the song even before she was signed for the film.

On questions whether he would associate with Udayanidhi he noted that they are good friends and a movie is definitely in the cards in the near future. He also confidently declared that his direction plans will take shape by next year.

On a signing off note, Vishal mentioned that Sathyam has shaped out really well as per plans and that he is satisfied with the outcome.

Sathyam’s rerecording is underway in the Godanda Raaman studio with a live orchestra consisting of 85 members. Vishal stated that the spot looks like the venue of the December music festival.
