Sallu vs Akki !!!

Salman Khan, the macho man of bollywood who does not like Akshay Kumar-Katrina Kaif pairing on the silver screen, is planning a celebrity special on his television show to beat Akki’s ambitious ‘Singh is Kinng’ on the day of its release on August 8.

Salman Khan has been in talks with Shah Rukh Khan, Preity Zinta and Rani Mukerji to be the celebrity guests on ‘Dus Ka Dum’ on that day and help him woo the audience from Akshay Kumar-Katrina Kaif starrer ‘Singh Is Kinng.’ As Salman Khan has a very good rapport with Shah Rukh Khan, Preity and Rani, they are likely to oblige him and shooting is expected to be completed by the end of this month itself.

The buzz doing the rounds in the industry is that Salman Khan got worried when he received positive reports from his friends about Akki starrer ‘Singh Is Kinng.’ Those who have seen Akki’s film swear by its charm and are sure that it is going to work wonders at the box office in Khiladi’s favor.

Salman Khan worry came from the fact that if people go to theatres on that Friday to watch Akshay Kumar’s ‘Singh Is Kinng’, the TRP ratings of his television show ‘Dus Ka Dum’ will go down and that would affect his star status on small screen. But if Sallu could manage the audience to remain at home and watch his show, it would not only keep his TRPs intact, but would also adversely affect his rival’s new movie.

Salman Khan is also worried that while his films have not been doing good business at the box office, Akshay Kumar’s films are doing very good business and this is adversely affecting Sallu’s market value in bollywood. Akki had given four hit films in the last year and thus has become the darling of producers and directors of bollywood. Now, Akki is considered a sure shot bet at the box office, who is only second to Shah Rukh Khan.

It may be recalled that Salman Khan never liked Akshay Kumar’s pairing with Katrina Kaif, his girlfriend, in bollywood flicks. He was especially furious with her when she was seen in a Delhi stadium along with Akshay Kumar during an IPL cricket match. Initially, he had even tried to persuade Katrina Kaif against doing films with Akki, but Kat refused to heed his advice in bollywood matters.

In any case, producers and directors love to repeat this pair as their pairing have always work wonders at the box office (Namastey London, Welcome etc) and the audiences love to see sophisticated Katrina with earthy and more down –to- earth Akshay Kumar. This combination works in the same way at the box office as Dharmendra-Hema Malini pair used to work in the earlier era.

Whatever….but one wonders ….if this war is for love…. or for numbers game being played in bollywood between Sallubhai and Khiladi Kumar, you guess!!
