Rohan Sippy signs Abhishek Bachchan for next film

Producer - director Rohan Sippy has signed Abhishek Bachchan as the lead in his next directorial venture. The film is as yet untitled and will go on floors early next year. Incidentally, Sippy's last film Bluffmaster (2005) also starred Abhishek.

Speaking to Businessofcinema.com, Sippy says, "The logistics and scale of this film is huge. It is easily bigger than anything I have ever done before. It is a big challenge for me and currently I am trying to work towards that."

It may be recalled that Sippy has been signed on to direct a film under the new joint venture of Reliance Big Pictures and Amitabh Bachchan's AB Corp. However, it is unclear whether this Abhishek starrer is a part of that deal. When queried about the co-production of this film Sippy said that talks are on and papers will be signed soon. He, however, refused to divulge any more details.

The film is a thriller action with elements of drama. The story, screenplay and dialogues are being penned by Shridhar Raghavan. Casting for other roles is also underway. As per information available, work is currently underway on the film's pre-production.

Sippy is currently working on the post production of Chandni Chowk To China, which stars Akshay Kumar and Deepika Padukone and the pre-production of Sriram Raghavan's untitled film starring John Abraham and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.
