Rock On Music Launch

Farhan Akhtar's live performance at the Rock On! music launch at Infiniti Mall was full of josh as all the junta sang along and couldn't stop grooving. Farhan Akhtar sported a neat hairdo, unlike his long curly locks for Rock On! He asked everyone "are you having a good time? I said are you having a good time?" And needless to say, everyone shouted yes.

The lack of space didn't really bother anyone. Arjun Rampal was inspired enough to do an impromptu air guitar jig. Shabana Azmi was enjoying herself and cheering Farhan on. His mother Honey Irani was also at the launch.

This first of its kind music launch, which started one hour late in true concert style, got plenty of media and public attention. Visitors at the mall thronged the railings to watch the rocking performance. Even the media arena was extremely crowded. Shankar-Ehsaan and Loy opened the concert with the familiar tune of Dil Chahta Hai, but with a live-rock twist to it. They encouraged the junta and the media to sing along and had everyone moving to their beat, DCH was followed by a rock version of Main Aisa Kyun Hoon with everyone singing along. They wrapped up their act by dedicating the Don Title track to Javed Saab and Aaj ki raat.

At the end of it all, Farhan, Arjun, Purab, Luke, director Abhishek and producer Riteish, actresses Koel Puire, Prachi Desai and Shahana Goswami and lyricist Javed Saab along the with musical trio, got the cds out from a guitar shaped box and launched the album. Interestingly, everyone was dressed in black. Barring, Arjun, Farhan and Purab have reverted to their short hair. Even Luke Kenny, who is known for his long golden locks, sported a crew cut.

To add a crazy twist to the launch, they threw audio cds in the air and into the crowd and people jumped over each other to grab a hold of them.

After the launch, they moved on to give media interviews. During the media interviews, everyone was so obsessed over these rock stars that no one noticed Hard Kaur entering TGIF with a friend.
