Going by the promos one even gets a feel that the film might be inspired by Shahid Kapoor’s film Dil Maange More!
To clear our doubts, we got in touch with director of Bachna Ae Haseeno Siddharth Anand and the filmmaker denied the news saying, “Bachna Ae Haseeno is a young film which has good music, good looking actors and has a lot more heart and soul to it. It’s not a frothy urbane film, it’s a Hindi film. It’s a quadrangle love story and it is bound to draw intrigue. I have not seen Dil Maange More and don’t know if it’s like that.”
Talking about Ranbir’s character he added, “Ranbir plays Raj Sharma who makes video games for Microsoft. Ranbir is not a Casanova or a playboy. He has three heroines with him in the film but he romances one girl at a time and there are situations that lead to complications in his relationships. The title of the film might be Bachna Ae Haseeno but I don’t think it means that the protagonist has to be a player. I don’t look at it that way.”
Just when we thought that Ranbir might take over Salman’s onscreen ‘womaniser’ image in Bachna, we are glad he hasn’t! We’d like this youngster to rather carry forward his father’s legacy and become Bollywood’s cutest lover boy...
