Big B in tears after Aladdin shoot

Amitabh Bachchan got emotional after the shooting for Sujoy Ghosh's Aladdin came to an end and was in tears.

Sujoy tells us, "A few days back we completed our shooting schedule and the whole crew had become emotional. So Amitji also was in tears."

The director joins the endless list going gaga over Big B's professionalism. "No other actor could have done a better job. Our schedule used to be jam packed and the day would start at 9 am. There was no fixed time for the pack up. Sometimes the production house also used to get exhausted but Amitji never showed signs of fatigue. Unfortunately he was injured a couple of times but it never hindered his shooting. We must all learn from this 64 year old genius."

Recalling all the fun they had while shooting, Sujoy says, "When in his genie get up he suddenly used to disappear from the sets, just like in the film. During breaks he would recite his kya hukum hain mere aka dialogue which would make the atmosphere light. Sometimes Abhishek used to visit the set if he was shooting in Filmcity and they both used to share lunch."

About the film's Aladdin and Jasmine, he adds, "Riteish is a very good actor and doesn't have any starry attitude. He used to come on the sets on time and was comfortable shooting with Amitabh. Miss Sri Lanka 2006 Jacqueline Fernandez, who plays Jasmine, also had a great time. Though Tom Alter is British, he looks perfect as an Indian too."

On how the film version will be different from the animated one, Sujoy explains, "The basic story will be the same but this is a modern Aladdin so there won't be any magic carpet, Yago (parrot) or Abu (Monkey). The budget of the film is around 45 crores."

Aladdin will be releasing on November 21 and will be clashing with the Abhishek Bachchan - Johh Abraham - Priyanka Chopra starrer Dostana.
