August Releases in Kollywood

This August will entertain, thrill, inspire, and warm the hearts offilmgoers of Tamil Nadu for it will witness the release of big-time andeagerly-awaited movies. Films of different varieties for differenttastes like Kuselan, Satyam, Dham Dhoom, Vaaranam Aayiram are slatedfor release next month. The audience will get to watch superstar’srespect for friendship in Kuselan; Vishal’s determination andchangeover in Satyam; Jayam Ravi’s transformation in Dham Dhoom;Suriya’s dexterity and assiduity in Vaaranam Aayiram (also referred toas Vaaranamaayiram). A brief look at what is in store for us this August:

Kuselan: It is superstar Rajni’s film. The film is a feel-good and heart-warmingtale of the friendship between two people, who have humble beginningsbut end up in different social strata. The depiction is sprinkled withhumour, feel-good factor and sentiments pertaining to friendship. Thisdepiction is very new to Tamil cinema and therefore, exciting. The filmwill have all the elements peculiar to Rajni and is a laugh-riot withVadivelu participating. Pasupathi acts as superstar’s best friend inthe film which also stars Nayantara and Meena. The song ‘Cinema Cinema’has already generated enough curiosity amongst audiences.

Satyam: The cop film that will make you feel you are watching a true cop inaction. Vishal’s makeover is unbelievably realistic and Nayantara ishot and sizzling in this film. Yes! Hotter than she was in Billa! Thisfilm will give any Hollywood cop film a run for its money.

VaaranamAayiram: Suriya is at his best in this film, which chronicles the lifeof a man from his childhood to his old age. Suriya has undergonedrastic physical changes to portray the physical characteristicsassociated with youth and middle age. Suriya’s hard work in this filmwill even humble Tom Hanks, who is known as the actor who lives theroles he does. Sameera Reddy and Divya Spandana will steal your heartin this film.

Dham Dhoom: Starring Jayam Ravi, Kangana Raunat,Lakshmi Rai and Russian model Maria, the film is about a young man whogets into major problems by the vagaries of destiny. Thisaction-thriller is a classic example of late director-cinematographerJeevaa’s work
