Shruti Hasan debuts in Teen Patti

Kamal Hasan’s daughter will make her debut in Leena Yadav’s forthcoming film Teen Patti. Shuti was supposed to debut in a Tamil film opposite R Madhavan, but the film has got shelved and so she will be seen with Madhavan in Leena Yadav’s next.

R Madhavan or Maddy as he is popularly called, replaced Arshad in Teen Pattii which also stars Amitabh Bachchan in the main lead. This is going to be Leena Yadav’s second film as a director. Prior to this she made Shabd with Zayed Khan and Aishwarya Rai. She says, “We did a small schedule for the film in March. Now the real shoot will begin in August. We will start in America. I am looking forward to shooting this film and working with Mr Bachchan!”

Leena denies that Shruti is part of the film. But a unit hand goes on to say, “Shruti was the first choice when Maddy replaced Arshad in the film. She will be leaving for the US next week.” It is believed that her Tamil film was delayed twice, initially because Maddy failed to lose enough weight required for the role and later, because he got busy shooting for Nishikant Kamat’s Yeh Hai Mumbai Meri Jaan . Meanwhile Shruti got busy with her music concerts.

Though her debut movie got shelved this star daughter has signed two movies. Apart from Teen Patti she will be seen in Luck with Aamir Khan’s nephew Imraan Khan.
