Target, the celluloid murder mystery, starring Mumaith Khan in the shoes of Sharon Stone, is getting ready for release in August. Sivabalaji, who so far played the roles of either jealous or doting lover, is set to play a Michael Douglas. It is directed by debutant Ramesh Raja (disciple of Vijayabapineedu and Muppalaneni Siva). "Going by the subject, Mumaith plays the role of an arrogant and sexy novelist (of crime thrillers). Sivabalaji plays the honest cop. Both artistes have ample scope to perform in Target. A gory murder takes place, which exactly is planned and executed in the novelistic way. The police suspect the heroine (Mumaith) from all angles. The detection of the murder mystery is taken up by a dynamic cop (Sivabalaji). The busting of the mystery forms the climax. Highlights are 1 hour of Digital Intermediate work, four songs, raking background score by Koti and four-and-half-minute climax fight between Mumaith and the main villain, with full of graphics and ropes." The film was launched in January last and took 45 working days over a budget of Rs. 3.5 crores.
