Celebrating his birthday last night at Taj Lands End in Mumbai, cricketer M S Dhoni was one lucky birthday boy. His Bollywood mates John Abraham and Bipasha Basu gifted the Indian captain a limited edition helmet to go with the latest model of the Hayabusa that was also presented to the cricketer last night.
A source present at the party gave us the details. "There was a Hayabusa parked in a corner. It was covered with a piece of cloth and the hotel security wasn't allowing any one to even go close to it. But once the party began and everyone started coming in the bike and helmet was handed over to Dhoni."
We spoke to Dhoni's manager about the gift. "John did gift Dhoni the helmet… it's a very very limited edition piece. One of its kind… it's black in colour. I can't give you too many details because the party was closed to the media," he says.
Speaking about the very expensive Hayabusa which costs close to 14 lakhs in India, the manager denied rumours that the speed machine had come from Bollywood actor John Abraham. "We gave the bike to Dhoni… not John. It is the latest model of the Hayabusa… it's magnificent and was the perfect gift for some like M S who loves bikes," he adds.
But unlike most Bollywood parties, the media was kept well away from the event and pictures from the event are being kept well guarded.
"Dhoni endorses TVS and there is no way that pictures of him on the new Hayabusa will be released for the public," reveals the source from the party.
Both Dhoni and John Abraham remained unavailable for comment.
Currently Salman Khan can be seen zipping around Bandra on his red Suzuki Hayabusa. The 2008 model is known to go from 0–180 mph in18.9 seconds and with a top speed of 185.5. It costs over 10 lakhs in India and is a favourite amongst motorcycle fanatics all over the world.
