Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif have reached new 'heights'... now, it's no boring trade figures that we are letting you in on, just a small anecdote, an incident that happened on the sets of Singh Is Kinng . Akshay, Katrina and the rest of the film's cast and crew were in Australia shooting in Q1, one of the tallest residential buildings in the world. Apart from the exotic beaches, the team has done well to locate some unique and interesting places to shoot. For starters, it's the first film to be shot on the Gold Coast in Australia...and then there's more...
So for a week, they shot in Q1 on the 77th floor. For some specs - The elevator takes 42 seconds or less to reach from the ground floor to the 77 th storey. But director Anees Bazmee who hadn't seen the place earlier and only heard of it, actually incorporated a fifteen minute time span to reach the 77th floor in his time sheet. He tells us, "It was the most dazzling experience. While doing the shot breakdowns we had actually incorporated a 15 minute delay for travel from ground level to the 77th floor in the time sheet of the day... so we were always at a fourteen minute advantage, since the elevator took less than a minute." Now, that's one 'calculative' director!
Akshay and Kats tell us, "We love to act and do our job, but our work gives us some wonderful opportunities to see some wonderful places. It was quite an experience shooting in the tallest residential building in the world." Well, with Singh Is Kinng , the hot couple will hopefully reach greater heights in their career too.
