It is learnt that the producer (Adityababu) and the director (Sukumar) had a tussle during the making of the film and especially there was a lack of entertainment in the second half. The original budget was six crores and the shooting time was 80 days which eventually ended up being 14 crores and 200 odd days and the producer being a young guy was taken for a ride by the director and his associates and more importantly the cameraman also capitalised on the efficiency and inexperience of the filmmakers.
A small example is that, a set which was errected on road number 25 supposedly at the cost of forty lakhs ended up costing 90 lakhs. Shooting was meant to happen there for two months but stretched for a period of 10 months making the producer pay a huge sum of ten lakhs only as the rent.
This is just a chota example leading to much bigger mistake reflecting on the director’s clarity and the producer’s command over the project. I keep listening that this Aditya Babu is doing this film and that film. It’s better if this young man concentrates on acting and for the time being forget production, it doesn’t seem to be his cup of tea.
